Duracoat only, Applying clearcoat after the base coat does two things. One, it evens out any variations in the sheen caused by the differences in the colors and two, it increases the life of the finish thus requiring the clear to be worn away before the color can begin to wear.

Cerakote is a ceramic baked on coating and requires not additional coats of protective barrier to achieve the outstanind wear qualities.
